I am best known as a printmaker in etching and linocut, but more recently I have returned to my first love which is painting in oils. Whichever medium I use, I find drawing is the foundation of the creative process. Life drawing has become a regular part of my routine so that I now have a large number of studies not seen before.
I find that the different media I use give an opportunity to express different aspects of my character. The etchings follow a traditional approach while my linocuts are often whimsical and the paintings are all about my love of nature.
I run linocut printmaking day workshops for anyone who would like to try their hand at printmaking without a press. Full details are on my website.
Workshops offered. Please contact me for more information.
