Jo Penn
Ceramics
Jo takes her inspiration from the natural world to form functional and tactile ceramics. Her background in garden design has influenced her journey into ceramics, resulting in a range of pottery that embodies her love of plants.
Working from her garden studio, Jo hand builds all her ceramics using a variety of stoneware clays to construct pieces that are durable and practical. She uses flowers and leaves to add surface texture onto the clay and she decorates her ceramics with coloured slips and glazes.

This studio is open days: 23-25 and 29-31 May 2026.
In Mawnan Smith take Carlidnack Rd opp village shop. Take 4th right into Carlidnack Lane. At far end turn left into private road. Quillet is the 4th house.
The studio is located in the garden. Please enter through wooden gates. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the landscaped gardens. Two thirds of an acre with perennial borders, kitchen garden, orchard and woodland.
