As you may be aware, Creative Kernow announced that they will no longer be hosting the Open Studios Cornwall event in 2025.
With the support of a group of dedicated artists spearheaded by Jeremy Sanders, Cornwall Open Studios has been set up to keep this wonderful tradition alive. Support for this new revival has grown extremely rapidly and there's no sign of slowing down!
The open studios event over the second May Bank Holiday weekend and the following long weekend remains our primary focus, but our goal is to support artists and makers across Cornwall for the other 356 days too!
So we've set up a brand new website to achieve this. It’s been designed to enable artists to update their online profile with images and content 24/7. We expect that for many Members their web page will become the most important part of their online presence, hosted and maintained by COS.
We’re planning a package of advertising and communications support to attract more visitors to open studios. This will include paid-for advertising and advertorial online and offline, PR, social media, and the brochure for artists to distribute locally, plus flyers and posters.
And using social media we’ll also be supporting our Member artists all year round.
Cornwall Open Studios has been set up as a Limited Company to provide transparency and accountability, and any profits will be reinvested for the benefit of its Members.
