Sarah Walker

Painting

Sarah is a contemporary impressionist painter who loves colour in all its forms. Landscapes, seascapes and still life paintings, mostly in oils, some mixed media.

Since moving to Cornwall 8 years ago Sarah has been mesmerised by the extraordinary Cornish light. Her description of her practice is "catching a moment and letting the brush (& pencil or charcoal) be an extension of my mind and my emotional response to what I see and feel. Not knowing where it will take me is the thrill of painting,(and drawing) whatever the outcome. Memories are very sensory and I recall each and every one I had when I look at my work, old or new."

Sarah is happy to talk about her work, hopefully in her new studio.
Small to medium sized paintings and greetings cards will be for sale.
Sarah is a full time professional artist.

As part of the Red Cross fundraiser initiative "Pour a  Cup of Kindness" Sarah will also be offering tea/coffee and cakes on both Saturdays & Sundays for a small donation to the RED CROSS

Studio information

Take B3280 from Goldsithney to St.Hilary, turn left at the telephone box after St.Hilary sign, immediateley left again into the long lane leading to St.Hilary Church. "Tranquille" is at the end facing you on the corner.

I am hoping to welcome visitors to my new studio, adjacent to my house. If it is not ready then I will be showing in my home.

I am situated by St.Hilary Church which has historic connections to the Newlyn School Art movement and really worth a visit. Five minutes from Marazion, St.Michael's Mount and Perranuthnoe Beach it is an ideal location for a day out.

No dogs inside my residence but welcome to be in the garden.
