I enjoy exploring styles, techniques, shapes, textures and glazes. I am inspired by the clay itself and how it responds to the movement of the wheel, interacting with the pressure of my hands, arms, breath and body. The magic of making continues with the alchemy of glazes as they transform in the heat of the kiln.
I make a variety of domestic and decorative stoneware pots using different techniques: wheel thrown, slab built, moulded, altered and stretched.

Technical stuff: I also specialise in a textured crackled effect where the outside of the wet pot is dried on the wheel using sodium silicate and then stretched from the inside creating interesting organic patterns and colours when slip is added.
