Louise Green BA
I have a deep love of North Cornwall and the dramatic, rugged coastline, traditional fishing vessels, ports and beaches provide the inspiration for my work.
My father was born and raised in Port Isaac and he retained a traditional two up and two down fisherman’s cottage in the centre of the village. Although we were a family of nine, we all somehow managed to cram into the cottage and my childhood memories are full of happy holiday times in Port Isaac.
I was no academic, indeed Art was the only subject in which I got reasonable grades! So, I went on to study Constructed Textiles at Birmingham Polytechnic.
I now concentrate on oil painting and occasionally have prints and cards made from the original artwork.
