Gill Hewitt is a landscape artist, working mainly with oils, based in West Cornwall.

She loves to immerse herself in its wild places, its profound sense of ancient history, variety and richness of character. Here the passing of seasons take on more significance, a greater intensity of change, the energy, the elements, the open skies, the unique quality of light, at times dark and foreboding or at others dazzlingly bright, the storms, the winds and clouds and the feelings they evoke. Gill's soulful work responds to the essence and uniqueness of place.
