TUSSFACE

Digital images, drawing, mixed media, painting, papier maché, printmaking, sculpture

I am a Cornish artist born in Bolitho, Penzance and grew up in Hayle. I then moved all the way to Connor Downs before sampling the exquisite delights of Carnhell Green, before finally moving back to the sandy crack known as Hayle. A published cartoonist, artist and illustrator, there's TussFace art hanging in every continent of the world and in countries ranging from Mexico to Tasmania.

Probably best described as an outsider artist, I'm extremely proud of my Cornish heritage, and my work is often influenced by Cornish surroundings, myth and legend.  Mix in influences as diverse as Japanese woodblocks, street art, art toys, comics, religious iconography, scifi, fantasy, Repin, van Gogh along with excessive tea and coffee drinking, and you have TussFace.

Studio information

1. If entering Hayle from the West on the B3301, come into Copperhouse passing the Copperhouse Pub, where there is some time-limited free parking.(Please keep an eye on your times as we can not be held responsible\). There is also a public car park nearby, a little further on between the Fire Station and Libray. You will pass the studio on your left if going to the car park.

2. If entering Hayle from the East, come through Foundry end, passing Philps pasties. Carry on past the war memorial until you get to the library car park. Either use the free parking on the roadside ( be aware there might be a time limit) or use the car park. Then continue on foot past the fire station, heading towards the shops. The Goat Gallery/studio is on your right. There will be signs, but the Gallery is very visible from this direction.

The step entering the studio is an average door threshold and easily managed by a wheelchair. The WC is not wheelchair accessible as it's quite a small room, but it is on one level.
