I am a mixed media artist and maker working with a variety of materials to produce abstract paintings, artists’ books, sculptures and collaged wall hangings.
Many of my artworks are an intuitive exploration of layered textures, often using applied ephemera such as vintage letters and found objects. Some include hand stitch and fragments of fabric combined with paint that create an interesting fusion of techniques. I generally work with acrylics and use a muted palette of greys, subtle blues and neutral colours.
The making and use of sketchbooks and visual journals is an integral part of my working process.
Having been an artist and taught workshops for 30 years and have lived in St Ives since 2000, having moved from Woodstock, Oxfordshire.

Studio information
My home studio is in the garden of our cottage in Bullans Terrace which is a row of terraced houses with pedestrian access only. Located just off Bullans Lane, the nearest car parks can be found in Park Avenue or behind the Launderette on The Stennack (both a 3 minute walk away).
Bullans Terrace has 4 steps down from Bullans Lane onto the path in front of the cottages. There are two further sets of steps down to the studio in my garden.

In February 2026 I will be leaving my studio gallery at Whites Old Workshops and will work solely from my home studio.
Visitors are always welcome by appointment.
I am a member of the St Ives Society of Artists and St Ives Arts Club and an associate member of the Penwith Society of Artists.
