I started my jewellery business in Cornwall over 30 years ago, quickly being selected for the extremely prestigious Craft Council Awards shortlist. During this time I have exhibited across the UK, most notably in the Cecilia Colman Gallery in St John’s Wood and currently in The Guild of Ten, Truro. I work in silver and gold, often combining these two metals into one piece of jewellery, and I also use precious and semi-prescious gemstones in my popular beaded necklaces. My work is directly inspired by the beauty of Cornwall, but also by historical artefacts. I love to set real Roman coins into my jewellery pieces, thus creating something for the modern world by using something from an ancient one.
Recently, I have returned to my original discipline of painting. My acrylic artworks are directly inspired by the colour combinations featured within my beaded necklaces. I look forward to exploring this craft further throughout the year.
