Intangibles of intense mood, energy and atmosphere. Influenced by a background in exhibition design, I am interested in the structure of the landscape, considering both past and present. From observation while in the landscape, from sketches, memory and the feel of the ambiece of a selected place, a piece of work develops with mark making, acrylic and mixed media. I take elements of the landscape, exploring the literal quality and by deconstructing and reassembling, but still preserving the spirit of the location.
