Michael Aurel was born in Bucharest Romania, graduating from Falmouth school of art in 2012 he now lives and works in Penzance.
His work documents his own personal experiences through his life growing up in Cornwall and his Romania heritage.
exploring the complexities of these two very diffrent worlds co existing alongside one another.
What comes from this is a bridging of traditional and contempory image making and narrative story telling. Leading into themes such as artistic and cultral history, identity, memory distortian and folklore.
