Barnabas Taylor

Silversmithing

Barnabas’s work is focussed on high quality, useable pieces of silverware and jewellery, with forms that are inspired by the beauty and history of his home county of Cornwall.

His pieces are hand-made, using traditional methods such as raising, forging, and adding details through texture and cast elements.

His work maintains a central core of practicality whilst reflecting the wonderful, whimsical world of nature.

He has entered several pieces into the Goldsmith’s Craft and Design annual competition where he has won gold, silver and bronze awards for both his artistic design and his technical ability.

Workshops offered. Please contact me for more information.

Studio information

This studio is open days: 23-25 and 29-31 May 2026.

Follow the main Newham Industrial Estate road, past Screwfix and Tilewise on your right. Turn right onto Harvey road (The road with Mor interiors and the Royal Mail Delivery office on). Go up the hill, though the gates to Edhen Park. Follow the road round to the left and my unit is the second on the right, up the black metal stairs.  Opposite RPD Tyres and Europcar.

There is some parking at the venue, but it is often easiest to park at the council carpark by Tesco and walk along the river side. You can walk all the way along the quay and it is very pleasent in good weather. If you wish to drive, there are two parking spaces at the botom of the black metal stairs leading up to my unit, these are often filled by the tyre garage and Europcar, though they are mine. I will do my best to keep them clear.
