With the wild and wonderful Cornish Coastline for inspiration, I walk, observe, photograph, draw and then assimilate my responce to this experience, in paint, back in the studio.
The resulting work can be quite illustrational but can also move towards simplification and abstraction, depending on what I want to focus.
Additionally, I'm increasingly drawn to tropical planting, gardens and flowers, which are themes I want to pursue further.
I like to use simple flower still life's as a tool to experiment with colour and application of paint.

This studio is open days: 23-25 and 29-31 May 2026.
Heading into Carbis Bay from Lelant on the St.Ives Road, take the first left after Costcutter, opposite the letterbox (and new play park), onto Polmennor Drive. Then take the second right into Poldhu Close.We are the tall dormer bungalow at the end of the cul-de-sac.
There is a step up onto a deck to gain entrance to the studio so not suitable for wheelchair.
