I am inspired by Cornish marine and rural heritage. There is a richness to be found in our landscape and culture.
Working en plein air and in the studio I try to record something that triggers emotion or captures a fragile moment.
Prodominantly working in oil I also uses other mediums especially when sketching to grasp the immediacy and the feel of what I see.
Light and reflection plays a big part in drawing me to paint, often when I least expect it.

Studio information
The Dairy at Little Goonreeve Farm will be a shared space with other artists.
The Dairy is a part of Little Goonreeve Farm, TR109AY.
This is signposted from the old Falmouth to Truro road leading to Enys Gardens.
Take the farm track past the white farmhouse and into the farmyard. The Dairy is the white signle storey building in front of you as you drive in.
Little Goonreeve Farm is signposted from the Old Falmouth to Truro road.
Coming from Truro, take the turning for Restronget and Mylor Bridge from the A39. (Before Barras Moor Farm layby).
Take the first turning on the right to Falmouth. At the top of the hill to the left is a farm track and sign for Little Goonreeve Farm.
Pass the white farmhouse and turn into the farmyard to the left. The Dairy is the white building ahead as you drive in. Parking is signposted to the right.
The postcode covers the whole hamlet of Goonreeve so follow instructions.

Studied Foundation at Falmouth School of Art and a BA (Hons) in Textiles from West Surrey College of Art and Design, Farnham.
Worked in gallery management in London followed by Events returning to Cornwall and painting.
