Georgie Harrison

Georgie Harrison, known as Gee by the Sea, is an award-winning seascape Artist based in Cornwall. Georgie has developed a signature style that blends spontaneity, realism and painterly impressionism. Her work has been recognised with awards for its ability to capture the ever-changing surface of the oceans surface.

Her process starts on the water itself, often out on her paddleboard, where she takes reference photos, sketches and notes to remember the mood, movement and the energy of the sea. Back in her studio, she recreates those moments through her paints.

‘I find that painting is a fine balance between spontaneity and knowledge. I fell in love with the ocean during lockdown, when daily walks along the coastline reminded me how calming and therapeutic it can be. Painting became my way of bringing that feeling home and sharing it with others. I love creating personal, unique pieces that reconnect people with special memories’.
