My paintings are very much an exploration of the Cornish landscape and it's changing seasons. The challenge is to create an accurate depiction of the view by recording the atmosphere, light and depth. The area where I live in South East Cornwall offers a world of wonderful inspiration from the secluded rocky coves to the open ruggedness of the Moor, I am spoilt for subject matter.
Using oils, I create small sketches painted 'en plein air' as references for larger pieces which I work on in the studio as more detailed paintings.
I have exhibited in galleries in Gloucestershire over the years and more recently at the Mall Galleries London as part of the Royal Society of Marine Artists exhibition 2024. I am also proud to have been the winner of publics choice at the Bath Art Society Summer Exhibition.

From the Bodinnick car/foot passenger ferry continue straight up the steep lane with the Old Ferry Inn on the left and St Johns Church is on your right. If you reach the 'Hall Walk' sign you have gone a little too far.
St John's Church is situated on a fairly steep hill and has a step up into the garden at the front of the building.
It is probably best to find us on foot, however, if you are driving there is a small free car park in Bodinnick. To access it from the Bodinnick car ferry from Fowey, take the route round to the left (where all traffic is directed) and the car park is approx 80 yards up on the right hand side of the road. Please be aware that it is only a very small car park.
