Furniture Making

Coming from a background in Fine Art I am drawn to principles of form, proportion, poise and texture in the pieces of freestanding furniture that I create. Inspiration is wrought from the more elemental points in the local landscape, this heft to the land herabout is only strengthened by using those hardwoods that grow in it, supporting local arborists and mills. I hand-build simple, balanced and tactile pieces ready for sale, and commissions are welcome too.

This studio is open days: 23-25 and 29-31 May 2026.

Workshop attached to house in Trewennack, right opposite the perspex bus shelter on the main road. Parking up the hill or across the road.

Workshop is accessible through the wrought iron gates on the side of Penrose Cottage.
